The NS Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal proposed and approved a new 4-lane rural freeway by-passing the Antigonish Core, designed to alleviate traffic congestion and maximize highway safety. Through a strategic partnership, Strum provided topographic and legal surveying services for 7 km of the proposed new highway alignment extending from Beech Hill Road to Taylor’s Road. Strum conducted the necessary fieldwork and prepared detail legal survey plans and corresponding descriptions for the necessary land parcels required to meet the 150 m right-of-way, affecting over 30 different landowners.
