Strum staff are coordinating a number of projects requiring supervision, sampling, and reporting associated with Hazardous Materials Removals at Government and Institutional Buildings in Atlantic Canada. Including projects at two Halifax-based DND facilities as well as local universities and several schools, Strum staff are responsible to coordinate development of tenders for these Demo projects, and to conduct contractor supervision and sampling during the work activities.  The key to each project is to ensure that contractor procedures and manifests are audited, safe work practices are completed, thorough removals are carried out, and that Clearance Sampling is completed.  Fugitive dust monitoring is underway at several projects.
