Environmental Field Technician (Summer Student)

The Opportunity
Strum is currently looking to expand our Environmental Assessment and Approvals group and has an opening in our Halifax office for an Environmental Field Technician (Summer Student) to join our team.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in or recently completed a post-secondary education program related to science or environmental studies.
- Must have a strong background in sciences.
- Must be physically capable of performing demanding field work duties.
- Must possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must possess a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
- Must possess a Nova Scotia Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working outside or with outdoor recreational activities.
- Possess professional demeanor and communicate with excellent verbal and written skills in English.
What You’ll Do
- Adhering to Strum’s safety program and ensuring safety procedures and protocols are followed.
- Collecting accurate data in the field using various types of equipment.
- Compiling clear, concise and accurate field notes.
- Supporting existing field and reporting teams while demonstrating ability to work independently and as part of a larger close-knit team.
