Desired Skills & Experience

The requirements of this position are:

  • Survey Engineer-in-Training or Professional Surveyor, licensed or eligible for membership with Association of Nova Scotia Land Surveyors and Engineers Nova Scotia
  • Applicable experience is an asset
  • Legal Survey experience an asset
  • Excellent communicator and team player
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong academic record is an asset

Technical capabilities for our areas of interest shall be: 

  • Legal, topo and construction surveying
    • Evaluate and resolve boundary solutions
    • Prepare detailed survey approach and calculations on assigned projects
    • Identify and undertake required surveying research
    • Translate / process field data
    • Complete detailed drawings
    • Coordinate and direct AutoCAD drawing preparation
    • Attend meetings with contractors, regulatory agencies, and clients
    • Manage projects, administer contracts, and control budgets
    • Present concepts to clients and manage small to medium size projects
  • Assist in the development of survey procedures and safety documents

The position requires a highly motivated individual with strong technical background in both survey and drafting.
