Strum Consulting, a leader in environmental and engineering consulting since 1995, is expanding our Civil Engineering Department and has an opening in our Antigonish office for a Junior Civil Engineer to be part of our team.

The position requires a highly motivated individual with both technical and communication skills, a positive attitude, and strong organizational and communication skills. Desired Skills & Experience

The requirements of this position are:

  • Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer, licensed or eligible for membership with Engineers Nova Scotia
  • Applicable experience is an asset
  • Consulting background an asset
  • Excellent communicator and team player
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong academic record is an asset

Technical Capabilities for our Areas of Interest shall be:

  • Assist in design and the preparation of engineering drawings, plans, reports, sketches &
    diagrams for the following types of projects:

    • residential subdivision with lands use/property issues
    • civil engineering design (water, wastewater and stormwater modelling)
    • commercial and/or institutional developments
    • any construction-related projects
    • windfarms
    • roadways, highways and street design/investigation
    • water mains, sanitary and storm sewer piping
  • Assist in the development of engineering specifications and contract documents
  • AutoCAD drawing preparation
  • On-site construction review
