Billing Administrator

The Opportunity
Strum is currently looking to expand our finance and administration team and has an opening in our Halifax office for a Billing Administrator to join our team.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- A degree, technical diploma or equivalent training and experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize projects, manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PDF Exchange.
Preferred Qualifications
- Accounting background is an asset
- Problem-solving skills in order to correct invoice errors and discrepancies promptly to ensure that accounts are processed and presented to clients in a timely fashion
- Ability to work in a high-volume and deadline-driven environment
Eligibility Criteria
- A degree, technical diploma or equivalent training and experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinating with project managers and finance team for timely and accurate record costs and budgets
- Generating and sending invoices to customers according to their specifications
- Preparing and submitting billing reports and analysis to management and clients as required.
- Reviewing and processing invoices for accuracy, completeness and compliance with company policies.
- Maintaining records of invoices, payments and accounts status.
- Following up with clients and collecting overdue balances.
- Resolving any discrepancies or errors in billing data and payments.
- Other ad hoc as required
