Natural Resource Inventory

This project required the completion of a natural resources inventory for habitat type and function, soils, species at risk, vegetation, mammals, amphibians, birds, and watercourses within a 20 km proposed rail corridor ROW and 22 km proposed transmission corridor ROW. Extensive consultation was completed with Nova Scotia Environment (NSE) before field studies were undertaken to ensure the data collected would meet the requirements for future permitting submissions. Field data collection was completed using GPS tracking. A database was then developed to compile, analyze, and report on the findings of the inventory.
